Overall, I really like this script. How will Google and Yahoo find the pages?

My suggestion is that you should add keyword and description fields to the tutorial submit form and upon submission the keywords and meta tags are added to the html page for that tutorial.

Also, I know that it's hard to make a script entirely customizable but you should change the tutorial urls. let's say I create a tutorial and the page is http://www.tutorialcms.com/how_to_draw_a_fish.htm. You should change the url to http://www.tutorialcms.com/how-to-draw-a-fish.htm

Not sure how dead this project is anymore, but I really like the idea because it's something I haven't seen before.. I'm trying to create my own web development site with all sorts of tutorials and would really love to use TutorialMS...

I know that 1.5 was announced in May to come out in June... but... seems that it's been postponed for a long while?

Anyway, since TutorialMS was to get an integration into myBB forums.. was wondering if you could do it for vBulletin as well?

I think having customizable columns. Something similar to vBAdvanced for vBulletin. You can put a search box into the column instead of the header, which I would prefer.

Hey,

maybe you have read it in another thread.. we have planned (for the past year ) a new version for our script...

Why 2.0 and not 1.5?
The Answer is easy... we are coding it from scratch...
Because, the old engine is difficult to extend
We could modify the existing script, but due to the headaches caused already, I think it best if we start from scratch.

I would like to reiterate that TutorialMS is under management and would like to request that you please allow us some time to get everything under control. You can find out more here:

Me (Nox) and Surfnlearn

Here is the low-down on our plans for version 2.0!

new Core Engine

Multilingual capabilities

Unlimited Categories with Sub(-Sub-Sub-X-Sub) Categories

New User Management with User Groups

Ajax Rating (global using.. news, tutorials etc.)

Comments (global using.. news, tutorials etc.)

Statistics

Affiliates (if a user is registed and an affiliate, he can see his statistic at his site profile)

Plugins (not all code in one file )

New Designs (Frontend and Backend)

This list should cover the main topics, however, if you find anything more that needs to be added, please feel free to make a post or PM me.

You have any feedback or idea?
No Problem! Post it!!!
