Hello, whenever I click on a sub-category, the icon is broken because I deleted the icon image file. I would like to be able to edit the icon. As in, what template do I edit so that I can change the icon image?

i think you mean the template "sub_cats_bit"

if you'll edit the main category image you must edit the template "main_navbits"

I dont think thats the right template. I am looking for a place to change the sub-category icon file from 2.gif to 2.png.

Edit the category in the Admin CP, upload the new icon and it will overwrite the old one, regardless of the type.

I have placed a file called "2.png" in /images/icons

It could be a permissions problem, give full permissions to /images/icons/. Just putting the icon in the folder won't make it work, it has to be added through the Admin CP.

Ok, I got it to work now. For some reason, the transparency for the icon got replaced with black, you can see what I mean under the same links I posted before.

Must be something that PHP does when it resizes it... try GIFs
